1 Hit TV Show America’s Got Talent to Launch First Ever Nationwide Tour Beginning October 1st in Oakland, CA Live Shows to Feature Host Jerry Springer with Performances by Season 5 Champion & Fan Favorites Tickets on Sale Friday, July 23rd at 10am LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--“America’s Got Talent,” NBC’s hit television talent show from American Idol producers FremantleMedia North America and Simon Cowell’s SYCO Television, will launch its first ever nationwide tour this fall, bringing the country’s most dynamic and diverse entertainers to 25 cities beginning October 1st at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland, CA. The announcement was made jointly today by Debra Rathwell, Senior Vice President of AEG Live, Northeast, and Andy Felsher, SVP, Games, Entertainment and Live Events for FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME). Hosted by Jerry Springer, the spectacular live stage version will feature the Season 5 winner, who will be crowned during the show’s season finale on September 15th. America's Got Talent returned this summer with the hottest performers from across the country competing in the blockbuster reality show's fifth season. Bringing the variety show format back to the forefront of American culture each week, the show features a colorful array of hopeful future stars -- singers, dancers, comedic performers and unique acts of all ages. While each contestant has the chance to strut and perform in front of a panel of celebrity judges including Howie Mandel, Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan, the eventual winner is chosen by the television viewing audience.
